Neil Rothman Jr. CIMA

Managing Principal

Neil has been in the investment business for over 23 years in the New York metropolitan area as well as Los Angeles.

In 2014, he formed UDIS Capital Partners.  Prior to founding UDIS, Mr. Rothman had been raising capital for a variety of asset management firms ranging from large, open end investments companies to boutique hedge fund, private equity and real estate managers.  In the past decade, Mr. Rothman is responsible for raising over $2 billion in capital deployed towards a multitude of strategies including global macro, event driven, merger arbitrage, multi strategy credit, real estate, distressed debt, long short equity, emerging markets currency and market neutral.

He started his career raising money internally for Deutsche Bank, Lord Abbett, and Thornburg.  Additionally he has raised capital third party for institutional managers such as Longfellow Investment Management, Apex Capital Management, Barrow Hanley, ClearArc Capital, Rockefeller & Co. Inc., Copper Rock Capital Partners, Ares Capital Management, The London Company, Sands Capital Management, Analytic Investors LLC, along with several boutique managers.

Throughout his career, he has partnered with investment banks, regional wire-houses, family offices and registered investment advisors as well as endowments, foundations and sovereign wealth funds.

He has presented on a variety of topics including alternative investing, capital markets, global infrastructure and EB-5 investing.

Neil has a dual degree in Business Logistics and International Business from Pennsylvania State University.  He holds FINRA Series 7, 6, 63, 65 as well as Certified Investment Management Analyst designation from The Wharton School of Business at The University of Pennsylvania.

Outside of his typical work day, he spends time volunteering for The Four Diamonds Fund, The Robin Hood Foundation, and The River Fund.  He enjoys golf and running.

Uday Sehgal is Managing Partner of Rise Investors, a private equity firm with a focus on hotel and urban mixed use development in strategic markets across the U.S. and Canada. He was formerly Principal & Managing Director at AJ Capital Partners, a real estate private equity company with $5.0 billion in assets. The portfolio is comprised of lifestyle hotel and mixed use assets in iconic cities and university towns. Uday was responsible for overseeing investments for the company in major U.S. urban markets. He led the capital, leasing and development of the Apple Music, Soho House, and Live Nation properties in Nashville; the San Francisco Armory; and Soho House Portland.

Uday previously held the position of Director of Acquisitions for Viceroy (Kor) Hotel Group, managing new deals and existing assets in the United States, Middle East, and Asia. During his tenure, Uday initiated a working relationship with Mubadala, an Abu Dhabi based sovereign wealth vehicle. He led the due diligence and negotiations of the sale of Viceroy to Mubadala.

Uday earned a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Economics from Northwestern University. He began his career as an acquisitions analyst at Trizec Properties, a publicly-traded office REIT later acquired by Blackstone and Brookfield. Uday is a guest lecturer for the Owen School at Vanderbilt University. In his free time, Uday enjoys playing music and producing films.
